Good morning, Buckhead — here’s what’s new around the neighborhood, from a Beltline milestone to a new restaurant on Peachtree Road and a couple of dining dates worth booking.
Beltline Breaks Ground on Northwest Trail Segment 2A
The Atlanta Beltline has started work on a 0.3-mile stretch of its Northwest Trail along Colonial Hills Circle in Buckhead, linking the completed Northside Trail and Northwest Connector Trail. The new path will connect the Collier Hills North and Colonial Homes neighborhoods, and when finished it will bring the trail closer to Peachtree Road and the big job hub around Piedmont Hospital and the Shepherd Center. Expect a 14-foot-wide multi-use path with an elevated section, a pedestrian bridge, lighting and fresh landscaping, with completion expected in early 2028.

New Restaurant and Bakery Coming to Buckhead Center
A new dining spot is on its way to Buckhead Center on Peachtree Road: Hopkins and Company will open Linton’s Bar and Grill, joined by its bakery concept The Buttery, as part of the property’s ongoing redevelopment. The roughly 7,000-square-foot space will feature a large patio overlooking Peachtree Road, plus semi-private and private dining, while the bakery café serves tenants and neighbors throughout the day with breads, croissants, sandwiches and coffee. The opening is slated for late spring 2027.
